Parramatta have committed a multi-million dollar deal to secure one of the NRL’s most decorated stars for the 2027 season. It’s the kind of signing that makes you sit up, because it signals ambition and a willingness to reshape the team’s future.
The player in question is none other than Jarome Luai, a four-time premiership winner with the Penrith Panthers. His creativity, big-game experience, and leadership qualities are exactly what the Eels have been crying out for. Luai’s stint at Parramatta will be brief, though, as he’s already set to move on to the PNG Chiefs in 2028, but even one season of his brilliance could be transformative.
