Due to a lower body issue, Anthony Davis had to leave his Dallas Mavericks first game early. Davis claimed that his prior abdominal ailment was “nothing serious” despite experiencing a “little spasm” after the game. Davis went on to claim that he was “very confident” that his recuperation from the prior abdominal strain would not be hampered.

By assisting Dallas in defeating the Houston Rockets, Davis launched his Mavericks career. The All-Star big man finished with 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks in the last 31 minutes of play.
