The Fever, led by Tamika Catchings, a legendary player known for her leadership and all-around abilities, defeated the Minnesota Lynx in the finals. Catchings was chosen Finals MVP, confirming her place among the best players in WNBA history.

The Fever are renowned for their tenacity and potent defensive performance over the years. Between 2002 and 2016, they had 14 seasons with 13 postseason appearances, demonstrating their competitiveness and consistency. After Catchings retired in 2016, the club had to rebuild, but they are still producing fresh players, like as Aliyah Boston, who recently became a star.
