Juby Ball returns to actionJuby Ball returns to action at Chepstow live this Sunday.

Exciting youngster Juby Ball leads today’s Chepstow offering, with all seven races broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing.

1.20 Chepstow: Exciting newbie Juby Ball returns.

Trainer Evan Williams has several promising horses on the card, and Juby Ball will be a popular choice to start the day off right in the Let’s Bet Personal With Fitzdares Novices Hurdle. He won one of his two bumper appearances with a great performance to win a difficult maiden hurdle at Ffos Las and will look to avoid a penalty before moving up in grade.

Ben Solo is the other penalized runner, having won over course and distance in his hurdling debut in October. He will need to improve on his recent runs, but he feels hopeful about this return to two miles.

Mini Fortune, among the others, has showed skill in point-to-points and is an intriguing debutant for Thomas Faulkner.

Laura Haskell’s Jalisco Star has improved since having wind surgery last year, and after just missing a hat-trick at Warwick last month, he appears to be the one to beat in the Call Fitzdares Mares’ Handicap Hurdle. For the first time, he is in Class Three company, and a 3lb weight increase may not be enough to stop him. It would be no surprise to see him bounce back under Charlie Deutsch.

For Tom Lacey and Cameron Iles, the Lord Maid weighs the most. He is lowering in class after finishing well defeated at Doncaster, although his prior second-place finish at Warwick in November would qualify him.

2.50 Chepstow – Donnacha and Hurricane Highway competition highlight

Donnacha, trained by Nigel Hawke, won his third race over jumps at Exeter and has strong claims given his 4lb higher mark.

Hurricane Highway is yet to score over the larger obstacles, but he ran a promising second behind Karuma Grey at Ffos Las in December and deserves respect off that mark.

Others to note are Venetia Williams’ The Famous Five, who beat the odds at Newbury in December before falling short at Haydock.
