🎸 What an absolutely electric weekend it was here in Fabulous Las Vegas! The energy of this city, especially when music is involved, is simply unbeatable. I came out to catch the incredible guys in SpiralArms, and let me tell you, their performance was nothing short of breathtaking. If you haven’t had a chance to see them live, you’re truly missing out on a powerhouse of sound and musicianship. They delivered a show that resonated deep, solidifying why I love live music and why they’re one of the best acts out there right now.

The days and nights were a blur of great times, buzzing venues, and soaking up that unique Vegas atmosphere. But as amazing as the concert was, the true highlight came as the dust settled.

The final night culminated in an unforgettable hang, perfectly blending the past and the present. I had the immense pleasure of spending time with the legendary guitarist, Jake E Lee (of Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands fame). Sharing stories and talking shop with a rock icon like him was a surreal and inspiring capstone to the whole trip.

However, the real emotional core of the weekend was reconnecting with my roots. Vegas holds a special place in my heart, as I actually called this desert city home way back in the early 1980s! It was a genuine blast from the past getting together with a few of my childhood friends—pals I hadn’t seen in years who came out of the woodwork. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of instantly picking up where you left off with people who knew you when.

Adding to the joy were the fantastic friends who made the pilgrimage all the way from the Bay Area. It meant the world to have both new and old friends, Bay Area crew and Vegas natives, all in the same room, sharing laughs and making new memories.

From the crushing riffs of SpiralArms to the historical hangs with Jake E Lee, and the heartfelt reunions with friends from four decades ago, this trip was a perfect harmony of rock and nostalgia.

Rock on, Vegas! See you next time.
