A Major Intercontinental Move

The Brisbane Broncos have confirmed that versatile utility outside back Jesse Arthars will be leaving the club at the conclusion of the 2026 National Rugby League season. Arthars has officially signed a lucrative two-year contract to head overseas and join the Catalans Dragons in the English Super League. This transition marks a significant new chapter for the outside back, who has established himself as a highly reliable asset in the southern hemisphere and will now bring his extensive first-grade experience to the French-based club starting in 2027.

Reflecting on a Steady Brisbane Tenure

Since arriving at Red Hill from the Gold Coast Titans ahead of the 2020 season, Arthars has been a dependable presence in the Broncos’ backline. Over the course of his six-year tenure with the club, the reliable outside back notched 83 first-grade appearances, showcasing his ability to plug gaps across the backline seamlessly whenever called upon. As the reigning premiers continue their campaign, Arthars remains fully committed to finishing his final season in Brisbane on a high note before making the long-distance move to Europe.
