Aryna Sabalenka has delivered a firm response to critics who question her commitment to tennis because of her active presence on social media. The Belarusian star made it clear that she is no longer interested in allowing outside opinions to dictate how she approaches her career, insisting that people will find reasons to judge her regardless of what she does.

Social Media Does Not Define Her Work

Sabalenka’s online activity has occasionally prompted speculation from fans and observers who assume that spending time on social media means a player is not fully focused on training or competition. However, the world-class competitor rejected that suggestion, emphasizing that what happens away from the public eye cannot be accurately measured through social media posts.

For Sabalenka, sharing moments of her life online does not mean that she has abandoned the demanding work required to compete at the highest level. Professional tennis requires extensive preparation, physical conditioning, recovery and mental discipline, much of which takes place away from cameras and social platforms.

“People Are Going to Judge You”

Addressing the criticism, Sabalenka explained that she has reached a point in her career where she understands that public judgment is unavoidable. Rather than constantly trying to satisfy every opinion, she has chosen to concentrate on her own priorities.

“I’m at that stage where, like, people are going to judge you either way,” Sabalenka said.

Her comments reflect a growing willingness to separate her professional responsibilities from the expectations placed on her by fans and online commentators.

Refusing to Chase Approval

Sabalenka also questioned why she should allow criticism to affect her when she believes there is no way to satisfy everyone. Her message was particularly direct: attempting to meet every outside expectation can become an unnecessary distraction for an elite athlete.

“It’s like you’re never good enough for people,” she said, before making her position even clearer. “Why would I even care about them? I don’t give a single heck.”

The remarks underline Sabalenka’s determination to maintain control over her own narrative. Instead of measuring herself against every comment posted online, she appears focused on deciding what matters to her and maintaining the mindset required for professional competition.

A Different Side of the Champion

Sabalenka’s social media presence has helped supporters see a side of the player that is not always visible during tournaments. Her posts can include personal moments, behind-the-scenes content and lighter interactions, offering followers an insight into her personality away from the tennis court.

For some observers, however, that visibility has created assumptions about her priorities. Sabalenka’s response makes clear that she does not believe an online presence should be treated as evidence of how seriously she approaches her profession.

Focus Remains on Tennis

Ultimately, Sabalenka’s comments highlight the distinction between a public persona and the private work required to succeed in elite sport. Training schedules, preparation and competition remain central to the life of a professional tennis player, even when those efforts are not visible to followers.

Her message is straightforward: criticism will always exist, but she has no intention of allowing social media commentary to determine her choices. Sabalenka appears comfortable accepting that not everyone will understand or approve of how she balances tennis with life away from the court.

For the Belarusian star, the priority is not winning approval from every observer. It is continuing to compete, improve and live on her own terms while refusing to let online judgment become a distraction.
