After being stabbed, Monica Seles reveals a 23-year-old secret! (Video)
One moment completely changed his life. Until that fateful day in 1993, Monica Seles was the world’s best tennis player.
She reached the quarterfinals of the tournament in Hamburg and everything seemed to be in order.
Then, the German fan Ganter Parham jumped from the stadium stairs and stabbed him with a knife, Telegraph reports.
He never recovered from back pain. In fact, the wound was healed, but not the psychological one. Monica has discovered another mystery of life after the accident.
“For a long time I kept this to myself, but the stabbing left an unusual ‘stain’ on my life. Along with fear and phobia, now he can’t control his appetite. This went on for years on end. I couldn’t accept that there was something I couldn’t control. I eat large amounts of food in a short time and this had a bad effect on physical preparation after returning to the field,” Seles told an American magazine.
It is worth noting that the aggressor has never been in prison, as he was found to have psychological problems and served only two years in a special institution. /Telegraph/
