eric-BieniemyAfter a year at the collegiate level, former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has returned to the NFL.

Bieniemy was elevated to offensive coordinator after serving as a running backs coach for five seasons during his ten-year tenure with the Chiefs. In 2018, his first season as head coach fell on the same year that Patrick Mahomes made his debut as a full-time starter, throwing 50 touchdown passes.

Bieniemy joined the Washington Commanders in 2023 as offensive coordinator and associate head coach under Ron Rivera, following his two Super Bowl victories with Kansas City. Bieniemy moved to UCLA as an associate head coach and offensive coordinator when Rivera was fired in 2024.

X Users Respond to the Bears Hiring Bieniemy

On X, now known as Twitter, football enthusiasts expressed their opinions about Bieniemy joining the Bears.

One user commented, “An intriguing addition to the Bears’ coaching staff.” “Now that he’s in Ben Johnson’s system, he’s a great running back mentor who will teach accountability and share strategic insights from his time with Andy Reid.”

A Chiefs supporter who is married to a Bears supporter added, “Hard-nosed mentality.” calls for responsibility. However, I didn’t call plays in Kansas City. After he left, offense suffered (Tyreek Hill’s exit also contributed). This hire appeals to me. Just my viewpoint.
