Garbiñe Muguruza Rocks Out at Bruce Springsteen Concert in San Sebastián
Garbiñe Muguruza, the former world No. 1 tennis star, proved she’s still living her best life—even off the court—when she made a stylish appearance at Bruce Springsteen’s electrifying concert in Spain. The event, held at the Estadio Reale Arena in San Sebastián, was part of the legendary rocker’s “Land of Hopes and Dreams” tour, and Muguruza looked right at home among the music-loving crowd.
The retired tennis champion, known for her fierce on-court presence and equally striking off-court fashion, attended the concert with some of her closest professional allies. Among them were her longtime agent Olivier van Lindonk of IMG and her trusted public relations manager, Cecilia Casla. The trio made a night of it on the scenic Bay of Biscay, soaking in the energy of Springsteen and the iconic E Street Band.
But while the group may have looked cool and collected once inside the venue, their journey to securing floor-level seats was anything but smooth. According to van Lindonk, the evening started with a ticket fiasco that nearly derailed their concert plans. He shared the chaotic experience on social media, explaining that the tickets he purchased through StubHub never arrived.
Van Lindonk took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his frustration, saying he had made multiple calls to StubHub throughout the day. Unfortunately, he was met with repeated, unhelpful responses that did little to resolve the issue. “I made five calls throughout the day and each time was given their scripted response, which was not helpful,” he wrote, clearly exasperated by the ordeal.
Despite the ticket troubles, Muguruza and her crew didn’t let the setback dampen their night. Thanks to some last-minute intervention from Spanish concert promoter Doctor Music, the group was ultimately granted entry. Van Lindonk expressed his gratitude for the rescue, which turned what could have been a major disappointment into a memorable evening.
For Muguruza, it was another example of her graceful navigation through life beyond tennis. Since stepping away from the sport, she’s remained in the spotlight through selective public appearances, brand partnerships, and her enduring connections within the sports and entertainment industries.
Whether she’s smashing forehands or singing along to “Born to Run,” Garbiñe Muguruza continues to show she’s a star on and off the stage. And if this concert is any indication, she certainly knows how to pick her moments—and her music.
