The 2025 Pro Motocross Championship is off to a blazing start with three rounds in the books—Fox Raceway, Hangtown, and Thunder Valley—all delivering high-stakes racing, rising rivalries, and major title implications.

Round 1: Fox Raceway (May 25, 2025)

The season kicked off under sunny skies in Pala, California. In the 450 class, defending champ Jett Lawrence picked up right where he left off in 2024, dominating both motos with smooth speed and consistency. Chase Sexton and Jason Anderson rounded out the podium, but neither could match Jett’s pace.

In the 250s, Haiden Deegan electrified the hometown crowd with a 1-1 sweep. He fended off strong charges from Jo Shimoda and Tom Vialle, showing he’s serious about a championship run this year.

Round 2: Hangtown (June 1, 2025)

Hangtown brought brutal heat and even hotter battles. Jett Lawrence’s win streak ended as Chase Sexton came alive, taking his first overall of the season with a 2-1 performance. Jett went 1-3 for second overall, while Aaron Plessinger impressed with third.

The 250 class saw a shakeup as Levi Kitchen claimed the overall win, capitalizing on mistakes from Deegan and Vialle. The points battle began to tighten, with Shimoda once again proving consistent.

Round 3: Thunder Valley (June 8, 2025)

Racing at elevation in Colorado brought new challenges, but Jett Lawrence bounced back to dominate once again, going 1-1 and reasserting his grip on the red plate. Sexton pushed hard but settled for 2-2, keeping the title fight close. Plessinger held strong in third.

Haiden Deegan returned to form in the 250s, riding aggressively to a 2-1 overall win. Vialle edged out Shimoda for second, with Kitchen just off the podium. The top five in 250 points are now separated by less than 15 points, setting up an intense summer showdown.

Looking Ahead

As the Pro Motocross season heads to High Point, the storylines are heating up: Can Jett Lawrence be stopped in the 450s? Will Sexton maintain pressure? And in the 250s, Deegan, Shimoda, Vialle, and Kitchen are locked in a multi-way battle that’s far from over.

Stay tuned—the summer of motocross is just getting started.
