Aryna Sabalenka continued her impressive US Open title defense with a ruthless second-round performance, dismantling Russian qualifier Polina Iatcenko 6-1, 6-1 in just 53 minutes at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The world No. 1 barely allowed her opponent to settle into the contest, producing the kind of aggressive and authoritative tennis that has made her one of the most feared players on the hard courts of Flushing Meadows. The official US Open results confirmed that Sabalenka dropped only two games throughout the entire encounter.
