Will Howard, the iconic Ohio State quarterback, said goodbye to Buckeye Nation in a heartfelt video message. The nearly two-minute video, which was made available on social media, demonstrated Howard’s appreciation for his time at The Ohio State University.
Howard’s time as a Buckeye was a dream come true, and he said that it beyond his greatest hopes. “When I first came in here to Ohio State, I had dreams of competing for a national championship, developing as a player, and hopefully going on to the NFL,” he told reporters. “Little did I know, walking away from this experience, I’d get so much more.”
The Relationships with Team Mates
The relationships Howard established with his teammates were among the most significant parts of his tenure with Ohio State. He praised their “incredible friendships,” Howard was greatly impacted by his teammates’ faith and friendship, which bolstered his own faith all year long.
In addition, Howard appreciated to the coaching staff, and especially to Coach Ryan Day, Coach Chip Kelly, and Coach Billy Fessler. He gave them high credit for encouraging him to reach his full potential, believing in him, and making a big difference in his growth as a player.
